Gray’s Inn French-English Law Essay Prize

Gray’s Inn is pleased to announce the launch of its French-English Law Essay Prize in collaboration with the distinguished international law firm Gide. The topic which will be announced at Easter 2022 will involve a comparison of the law affecting commercial transactions in the French and English legal systems, with submissions of no longer than 2,500 words.

It will be open to all students in full time legal education for less than six years – there will be no requirement to be a Member to enter.

The winner of the competition will receive a prize of £1,500 plus a two-week paid internship with Gide’s London office; the runner-up will receive a prize of £1,000.
