We are responding to the call for increased diversity at the bar.
CEO and Co-Founder.
I started my business because I wanted to share with aspiring barristers how I was able to access the information needed to build my competitive pupillage application.
Upon starting my law degree I realised that the route to the Bar would pose specific challenges for me because of my background as a non-traditional barrister. I was a mature LLB student in my 30s, on a second career after a lifetime of balancing debits and credits as a career accountant and I am the first lawyer in my family, which made it difficult to “crack the code”. We can top that off with the fact that I was an international student.!
Honestly … I felt lost at first!
So I designed and built Align in response to that- a personalised and interactive platform so that you can access all the information needed and understand the process better, similar to someone with connections at the Bar.
I am an unregistered barrister of England and Wales and I am dedicated to making the Bar more accessible for other aspiring barristers. I carry the awesome title of mom-preneur, a title which was earned while I completed my Bar Course exams.
